The reason for that is not all the cars are travelling at the same rate and it creates a stop and go pattern in the traffic and creates a shockwave that travels backwards and never stops until it is broken somehow. Saturday Cibubur Traffic Hell

Did you notice that traffic was really crazy yesterday (As if every other day is not :) ). I went out from my house in Cibubur at about 10 o'clock and arrived in Pondok Indah Mall at 12 o'clock, just in time for lunch. Well, it took me about 45 minutes to one hour to out from Kota Wisata to jagorawi tol. Yes, that's right 45 minutes! Getting Live Traffic Network Reading From Multiple Cars - Sharing the Vision (Part 2)

In the last post, Hindra had mentioned that we finally did our POC and we were able to prove to ourselves that we can get real time information from one actual car and that we can process and provide traffic condition information back from there. Jakarta's own Traffic Management Center

Would you believe it ? Jakarta has its own Traffic Management Center and it's not half bad either.

Located within the compound of Polda Metro jaya, the TMC is the center for all traffic tracking and information for the city of Jakarta. It is also where they man the 1717 sms for traffic reporting and information.

The inside of the TMC reminds me somewhat of the houston command center where they control the launch of the space shuttles..:) There is one giant screen in the middle… Continue
